Clouds Lift for Sherwood

Oliver Sherwood celebrated his first winner at any Cheltenham meeting in the last 14 years with victory in the BetBright Cup Chase with Many Clouds now 12-1 from 16-1 for the Gold Cup with William Hill.

“Silviniaco Conti is already looking like a bad result for us in the Gold Cup and Many Clouds might be the saviour the bookies have been looking for,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Meanwhile Dynaste was a disappointing favourite, coming home third and William Hill have trimmed his price for the Ryanair Chase, reckoning he is likely to drop back in trip. He’s now 4-1 favourite from 9-2.
