City Still Favourites For Title

On the day that South Africa lost to Japan in the rugby World Cup, a similar (if what a little less earth shattering) shock was kicking off in Manchester. Manchester City, who were 1/4 with William Hill to defeat Manchester City, lost to West Ham United, who were 11/1 and the home side were included in 45% of all football bets on Saturday.

Despite the win, Manchester City are still odds on favourites to win the league at 4/7, while Chelsea’s odds have shortened from 12/1 to 7/1.

Callum Wilson notched his fifth goal of the weekend and he is 16/1 fifth favourite to be the Premier League’s leading scorer. He is behind Sergio Aguero (11/4), Christian Benteke (8/1), Diego Costa (8/1) and Bafetemi Gomis (14/1).
