Chrome Backed for the Dubai World Cup

One of the world’s most popular horses, California Chrome, has been strongly backed with William Hill for the Dubai World Cup. William Hill are now 9-4 favourite from 5-2 for the Art Sherman-trained colt.

“California Chrome accounts for the vast majority of bets on the race so far, but there is generally less British betting interest since the switch to dirt,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

“There is much less emphasis on UK-based runners and British punters like to know the horses they are betting on. In some ways, that could be the attraction of California Chrome, who captured the headlines during his Triple Crown bid and is a name that is familiar with racing fans.”
