Christophermarlowe: Trial Winner Trimmed For Derby

Investec Derby Trial winner Christophermarlowe has been trimmed to 20-1 from 25-1 by William Hill for the feature version in June.

“It was a solid performance in an early trial, but it wasn’t spectacular and there’s likely to be more eye-catching displays between now and the Derby,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

The odds-on favourite trained by John Gosden never looked like being beaten, although Godolphin-owned runner-up Future Empire closed the gap in the closing stages and is newly installed by William Hill at long odds of 50-1 for the Derby.
