Champion Chase Win for Dodging and Dettori

Frankie Dettori is better known for his riding prowess on the Flat, but today Dodging Bullets won the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham – a horse that Dettori bred.

William Hill offer 5/1 that Dodging Bullets wins the same race in 2016.

But he will probably have to take on the impressive Arkle winner Un De Sceaux, who was backed immediately after this year’s Champion Chase.

Punters clearly feel the outstanding novice chaser can go on and land the 2016 two-mile crown and William Hill have trimmed Un De Sceaux to 6/4 favourite for the Champion Chase from 7/4.

“Un De Sceaux looks like he could have won this year’s Champion Chase on that evidence and perhaps Dodging Bullets is just keeping the Queen Mother crown safe until 2016,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

2016 Queen Mother Champion Chase: 6-4 Un De Sceaux, 5-1 Dodging Bullets, 10-1 Sire De Grugy, 14-1 Champagne Fever, (EW ¼ Odds Places 1,2,3 – Antepost rules apply)
