Champagne Ready for Cheltenham

Champagne Fever looks primed for a big performance at the Cheltenham Festival after landing the Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park – William Hill responded to the win by making the Willie Mullins-trained chaser 5-1 from 6-1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase and 6-1 from 8-1 for the Ryanair Chase.

In William Hill’s ‘To Win Any Race At 2015 Cheltenham Festival’ Champagne Fever is now 9-2 from 11-2.

“Champagne Fever looks like he’s shaping up well for another crack at the Cheltenham Festival and if he lines up in the Queen Mother, he’d have a strong say against Sprinter Sacre,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Earlier at Haydock, Top Notch was an easy winner of the opening juvenile contest and he has been slightly trimmed by William Hill for the Triumph Hurdle (12-1 from 14-1).
