Can Lionesses Roar Once More In Tough Semi Against Japan?

England’s odds of winning the Women’s World Cup are 8/1 despite making it through to the final of the competition as they find themselves with a tough match against Japan in the semis.

William Hill make the Lionesses 13/8 to qualify against 4/9 shots, Japan and 12/5 to win the match in 90 minutes.

Should they win, they will come up against one of USA or Germany who are 6/5 and 8/13 respectively to make it through their semi-final.

“The Lionesses have shown real pride and endeavour to make it through to the semi-finals and while the odds suggest they may well struggle to lift the trophy, they have already overcome the odds to get this far in the tournament so who knows?” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Germany are the 11/10 favourites to lift the World Cup with USA 2/1 and Japan 10/3.
