Brit Awards: Bookies May Ban Betting After Shocking Night

Bookmaker, William Hill may have suspended betting on the Brit Awards towards the tail end of last week but despite that, it still seems that plenty of people were able to take advantage by placing big bets.

“The biggest betting move came for Royal Blood who tumbled from 13/8 to 1/3 to win Best Group by the time we suspended betting on Friday,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “As every award was announced last night, it was another well backed favourite picking up the statue. It would appear that more than a couple of people knew the results well in advance and we will have to make a decision if this is the last year we bet on the awards.”

One Direction lost the Best Group for the third year in a row and William Hill are offering 1/3 that they never win the award.

Madonna is a well know horsewomen and William Hill expect her to get straight back on after taking a tumble and she is 20/1 to go to the biggest stage there is and headline Glastonbury later this year.
