Bradford Upset The Odds Again

Sunderland were humbled by League 1 Bradford and in the process probably wiped out a number of accumulators for football punters up and down the country. At William Hill, Sunderland were the third best backed side in the country on Sunday at 10/11 and with 29% of all bets containing them.

It wasn’t all bad news for punters though with one chap in Dunfermline staking £140 on Bradford at odds of 9/1 that the Bantams would win 2-0. The lucky punter picked up £1400.

“Bradford went into the weekend as 125/1 shots to lift the FA Cup and while they remain outsiders for the competition, it’s time for fans of the club to dream again as they did a few years ago,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
