Bookmakers Drift Woods Out Of Majors

Tiger Woods is on the drift for more Major success after William Hill pushed out his odds to 6/1 to win a Major in 2015, following the news that he will take a break to work on his game.

Woods was 11/4 to win any major in 2015, but William Hill bookmakers have more than doubled his odds after the announcement that the 14-time Major winner will take time to become ‘tournament-ready’.

“In his prime, Tiger took us to the cleaners in the Majors. Punters would bank on him to win and he would deliver, but now the odds on him winning another in the foreseeable future suggest it looks increasingly unlikely,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Tiger is odds-on to not win a Major before the end of 2020. Woods is 1/2 to fail to deliver a Major tournament win in that period, but those keeping the faith that he can return to the form of old can back Woods at 6/4 to win one in that time frame.
