Bookies Receive Roya Moore-Link

Bookmakers William Hill estimate the damage that Ryan Moore has inflicted on them at Royal Ascot this week is a million pound payout per race – and given he’s already ridden eight winners, Moore is really costing the bookies.

However, it could have been a lot worse if Dissolution, his final ride on Day Three, had won.

“If Dissolution had won it would have been a horrendous day, costing well over £2.5million with run-ups. Thankfully for the bookmakers he didn’t, but we are still 3-nil down at Royal Ascot.”

“Ryan Moore is averaging a million pound payout every time he is on a winner – he’s certainly the bane of bookmakers this week.”

Meanwhile, with the jockey record of eight winners in a single Royal Ascot highly likely to be broken by Ryan Moore, William Hill are offering odds on how many winners he will end up with at this year’s meeting. The favourite is either ‘Eleven or Twelve’ at Even-Money.
