Bookies Hit The Canvas

Bookmakers William Hill were reeling today after a high staking customer landed a monster £89,000 wager when James DeGale beat Andre Dirrell at 4/5. The bet was placed in a William Hill shop in West Yorkshire and the clever customer will be collecting a cheque for £160,200 later today.

“It was a difficult fight to call and this customer has been rewarded handsomely after putting his faith in James DeGale. We look forward to seeing who he faces next and if this punter decides to back his man again,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
