Bookies Brace For Betting Bonanza On One Of The Biggest Weekends Of The Year!

This weekend looks set to be one of the top five busiest weekends of the year for Britain’s bookmakers, rivalling the Grand National and Boxing Day in punters’ affections.

Not only are Chelsea and Manchester City coming head to head in what could be the title decider in the Premier League but in cricket, England face Australia in the triangular series on Sunday, whilst Andy Murray faces Novak Djokovic in the final of the Australian Open on the same day. Late on Sunday evening, the Super Bowl will be kicking off in Arizona while the pick of the weekend’s racing takes place at Sandown on Saturday.

“There is a bumper weekend of sport to get our teeth stuck into not least the potential title decider in the Premier League but also Andy Murray aiming for slam number three Down Under,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Once you add the fact that most people have had their first paycheck since Christmas there is also a little disposable income to have a flutter.”
