Blatter Highly Unlikely For Nobel Recognition

With Vladimir Putin suggesting that FIFA President Sepp Blatter should win a Nobel Prize, William Hill are offering 100/1 that he does so before the end of 2020.

“Whether Putin was having a bit of banter with his old mucker Sepp, is uncertain,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Although we think it is highly unlikely that Blatter will even come close to a Nobel ceremony, let alone a prize, any time soon.”

In the race to replace Blatter as the FIFA President, it is Michel Platini who has the upper hand. William Hill make him 4/5 favourite to win the election with Prince Ali bin al-Hussein the 7/4 second favourite. Sepp Blatter is 6/1 to win the election taking place at the start of next year.
