Birchwood Breaks Record In Superlative

Birchwood scored in the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket for trainer Richard Fahey and has earned a 25-1 quote with William Hill for next year’s 2000 Guineas.


The son of Dark Angel broke the two-year-old course record for the distance in his winning run.


“Birchwood has beaten plenty of promising youngsters and by breaking the course record he has earned our respect for next year’s Guineas,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
