BGT: Calum Scott Favourite Going Into Week Two… Will Viewing Figures Drop Again?
Calum Scott is the early leader in the BGT betting according to William Hill. After being sent straight through to the live shows by Simon’s golden buzzer and attracting over 50% of all BGT bets in week one, he is 5/2 to win the show although there will undoubtedly be plenty of more great acts to come. Cor Glanaethawy are the 9/1 second favourites with Marc Metral 14/1.
“Calum impressed in week one and realistically is the only one that can win from the first batch and with Simon’s backing he could go all the way,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
After the show opened to the smallest viewing figures since series two, William Hill are offering 25/1 that the number plummets to less than 7.75m viewers and 33/1 that the number is between 7.75m and 8m.
“ITV will be hoping that all the stories and controversy around last week’s show will bring the viewing figures back up to the level that they are used to,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
