‘Arry Set To Be Busiest Manager On Transfer Deadline Day

Despite his insistence that he in “not a wheeler dealer”, Harry Redknapp tends to do an awful lot of last minute shopping on transfer deadline day and bookmakers, William hill, expect him to do so again this time around, making his QPR side the 4/1 favourites to be the busiest side in the transfer market in February 2nd.

Crystal Palace, whose new manager, Alan Pardew, will undoubtedly want to “put his own stamp” on his new side are 5/1 joint second favourites with another side who also have a new manager, Tony Pulis.

Other sides who feature towards the top of the betting are Hull and Leicester both at 10/1, Manchester United and Swansea at 12/1 with Burnley and Sunderland both 14/1.

At the other end of the spectrum, it looks likely to be a quiet deadline day for Manchester City, Newcastle, Everton, Chelsea and Villa who are all long priced outsiders to bring in the most players.

“Harry Redknapp’s behaviour on transfer deadline day has almost become a caricature of itself and we fully expect him to live up to his [not a] wheeler dealer role on the big day,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Which Premier League side will sign the most players on transfer deadline day: 4/1 Queen’s Park Rangers; 5/1 Crystal Palace; 5/1 WBA; 10/1 Hull City; 10/1 Leicester City; 12/1 Manchester United; 12/1 Swansea; 14/1 Burnley; 14/1 Sunderland; 16/1 Arsenal; 16/1 Stoke City; 16/1 Tottenham; 20/1 Liverpool; 201 Southampton; 20/1 West Ham; 25/1 Aston Villa; 25/1 Chelsea; 25/1 Everton; 25/1 Newcastle; 33/1 Manchester City
