Annacotty Shortens For King George

Annacotty has been trimmed to 66-1 from 150-1 by King George sponsor William Hill, after his victory in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

Making his first start for Alan King since switching from Martin Keighley’s yard, Annacotty found the most up the run-in to claim the Grade 3 contest. Attentions could now switch to the William Hill Winter Festival.

“Annacotty is still an outside chance for the William Hill King George, but given that was a first start for Alan King there may be more to come,” said sponsor spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
