Ancelotti Attracting More Money Than Klopp

Jurgen Klopp may be the 1/4 favourite to bag the Liverpool job, however, it is Carlo Ancelotti who has attracted the most attention in William Hill’s betting. The Italian, who is 11/4 for the role, has been the subject of 36% of all wagers on the market while Jurgen Klopp has seen 31%. Frank de Boer is the 12/1 third favourite and has seen 15% of the money.

The remaining 18% of all bets have been on the outsiders.

“Klopp seems to be the name doing the rounds and he is clear favourite, however despite this, it is Ancelotti who is proving most popular with the punters and if the decision is to be made based solely on weight of money, it would be the ex-Chelsea boss who gets the gig,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Jose Mourinho is the new favourite to be the next manager out of a job with William Hill making him 15/8 for the chop ahead of Steve McClaren at 2/1.

Sam Allardyce is the 6/5 favourite for the Sunderland job with his odds having tumbled from 4/1 to 6/5 in the space of two days.
