American Pharoah - Wonder Horse To Race For More Than A Million Dollars

Following the draw for Sunday’s William Hill Haskell Invitational, American Pharoah will run from Stall 4, as he races for more than a million dollars in prize money.

The Monmouth Park feature is now worth $1.75 Million, after the organisers increased the prize pot, with the winner now receiving $1.1 Million (raised from $600,000).

American Pharoah is a heavy odds-on favourite, with the British-based arm of bookmaking giants William Hill offering just 1-6 that he wins.

“American Pharoah has captured the imagination of racing fans all over the world and he has become a modern day hero in the USA. He’s a phenomenon and it is a wonderful gesture for Ahmed Zayat to run the Triple Crown Champion in the William Hill Haskell Invitational,” said William Hill UK spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
