Advocaat 5/4 For Permanent Sunderland Role

After Sunderland avoided relegation following a draw against Arsenal on Wednesday night, Dick Advocaat is just 5/4 with William Hill to be named as the next permanent manager, closely followed by Sam Allardyce at 9/4.

“For the second season in a row, Sunderland have avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth and it looks likely that the man who masterminded their escape will be handed the job on a permanent basis,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills have cut the odds of Raheem Sterling joining Manchester United from 20/1 to 9/1 following reports that the Old Trafford side have made an early approach for the want away winger. Manchester City remain the most likely destination at 13/8 while he is 15/8 to remain at Liverpool this summer.
