16/17 Year Olds Odds-On To Get Vote

DESPITE THE decision not to allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote in the EU Referendum, bookmakers William Hill believe they will be permitted to vote in the next General Election, quoting odds of 2/5 that they will, 7/4 that they will not. 'We think lowering the voting age to 16 is all but inevitable before the next General Election commented Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Meanwhile, William Hill are offering odds of 4/11 that the in/out EU Referendum will result in a 'Stay' majority, 2/1 in a 'Quit' majority.

**RUSHANARA ALI is offered at 12/1 by Hills to win the role of Deputy Labour leader after entering the race for which Tom Watson is currently 6/4 favourite. Andy Burnham is 4/5 favourite to become Labour leader, with Liz Kendall at 9/4, Yvette Cooper 4/1, Mary Creagh 25/1.

Hills offer 2/1 that Labour will have a female Leader and a female deputy Leader; 11/4 that both roles will go to men.
