Yes Vote At Longest Odds Yet

WITH betting on the outcome of the Scottish Referendum set to exceed that on the last General Election, bookmakers William Hill are quoting the chances of a Yes vote at the longest odds yet of 11/2, while No is now at shortest odds yet of 1/10.

'We have already taken over £1.25m of bets on the outcome of the Referendum and should easily exceed £1.5m by the time polling day arrives - more than was staked with us on the last General Election' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

'Since the first tv debate, support for a Yes vote has almost ceased completely while we have continued to take hefty bets for No, for which we now have a substantial liability' added Sharpe.
