Will Sam Smith Banish The Spectre Of Adele?
After announcing the latest Bond movie will be called Spectre William Hill are now looking at who will belt out the title track. Current flavour of the month, Sam Smith, is the 4/1 favourite to sing the song with Ed Sheeran 6/1 second favourite. Lana del Rey, Rita Ora and One Direction are all 8/1.
Coldplay are 10/1 while Adele is 12/1 to follow up Skyfall with another. Oscar winner, Jared Leto’s band, Thirty Seconds To Mars can be backed at 16/1.
“The Spectre of Adele’s smashing effort for Skyfall will still be looming large but Sam Smith could certainly be the man to take over the mantle,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
William Hill are offering 100/1 that the Queen is announced as a Spectre cast member after her appearance alongside Daniel Craig at the Olympics. It is 25/1 that the new film goes on to win a Best Picture Oscar and 33/1 that Daniel Craig wins a Best Actor Oscar for his role in the movie.
Despite signing up for a further film it is 6/1 that Daniel decides that Spectre will be his last Bond film. Tom Hardy is the current 3/1 favourite to replace him, whilst others in the early mix are Idris Elba at 4/1 and Michael Fassbender at 11/2. Back in September there was a short, sharp gamble on Orlando Bloom to be the next Bond and he is 10/1 from 40/1.
