What Next For X Factor’s Ben?

After Ben won the X Factor, William Hill were offering 2/5 that they are number one on Christmas Day with their winner’s single. It is 4/6 Ben that they achieve another number one next year.

Betting peaked at 250 bets per minute during the final.

Ben was 8/1 once the live shows started, a long way behind 7/4 favourite Andrea.

“Ben has come from nowhere with just a few weeks to go to peak just in time for the final after his odds were slashed around midday on Saturday making him favourite,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Should things go horribly wrong, it is 5/4 that Ben has been dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label before the end of next year.

“You often think of Steve Brookstein and despite the fact he got a number one, he was booted off the label shortly after that,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Artistic differences tend to be a common occurrence amongst X Factor winners.”

It is 3/1 that all four judges return, with Simon and Cheryl the most likely to return at 1/3. Should any of the judges not return, Tulisa is 2/1 and waiting in the wings.

To be  a judge next year:

Simon – 1/3

Mel – 8/11

Cheryl – 1/3

Louis – 4/7

Tulisa – 2/1

Will all judges return: 3/1 yes; 2/9 no
