Lexus Hero cut for Gold Cup

Road To Riches is now 12-1 from 16-1 with William Hill for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after landing the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown, after staying on strongly under a good ride from Bryan Cooper.

However, there wasn’t much separating the field coming in to the closing stages and William Hill think Silviniaco Conti has a stronger case for Cheltenham Festival success than any of the Lexus protagonists, shortening him to 3-1 favourite from 4-1 favourite.

“While Road To Riches has enhanced his claims, Lord Windermere and Bobs Worth haven’t and that only strengthens the case to back Conti,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Lord Windermere is out to 14-1 to retain his crown (from 10-1), while 2013 Gold Cup Champion, Bobs Worth is 14-1 (from 10-1).
