Faugheen Strengthens As Favourite For Champion Hurdle

Faugheen is the 9-4 favourite with William Hill from 11-4 after landing the feature hurdle at Ascot on Saturday afternoon.

“Faugheen looked magnificent and is the one to beat in the Champion Hurdle,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke. “We rated his performance as significantly more impressive than The New One’s victory at Haydock. Even at this early stage of the season, they are both bad losers for us in the Cheltenham antepost market.”

Champion Hurdle: 9-4 Faugheen, 7-2 The New One, 11-2 Jezki, 10-1 Annie Power, 14-1 Hurricane Fly, 25-1 Irving, Sign Of A Victory, Vaniteux, 33-1 Tiger Roll, Zamdy Man, 40-1 Calipto, Clever Cookie, Garde La Victoire, 50-1 Purple Bay, (EW ¼ Odds Places 1,2,3)
