BGT: Best Backed Act, Collabro Win

Collabro won this year's Britain's Got Talent resulting in a somewhat obvious result for the bookmakers. Having been favourites to win the show with William Hill after their first audition, they were only knocked off the top spot in the betting after Bars and Melody’s audition. Despite this they were the best backed act of the competition.

Collabro were the 6/4 favourites to win the show as the final started, despite having trailed Bars and Melody in the betting since the young duo featured in their audition.

As betting shut, however, just before the winner was announced, Lucy Kay was the 6/4 favourite nudging Collabro into second favouritism.

"Collabro were the best backed act both in amounts of money staked and number of bets placed but Paddy and Nico were the worst result," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “A win for the band was not the worst result but also was not the best we could have had.”

Final prices (before the show started): 6/4 Collabro; 5/2 Bars and Melody; 7/2 Lucy Kay; 10/1 Jack Pack; 12/1 Darcy Oake; 25/1 Paddy and Nico; 25/1 James Smith; 40/1 Lettice Rowbotham; 50/1 Jon Clegg; 66/1 The Addict Initiative; 100/1 Yanis, Arnaud and Mehdi
