Band Aid Slips From Top Slot As Odds Tumble For Christmas One

Band Aid 30 has been knocked off the top of the UK Charts as its odds of reclaiming that title in time for Christmas continue to diminish. Originally 1/8 to bag the festive top spot it is now 9/4 and well behind the X Factor winner’s single at 1/3.

The single that overtook Band Aid, These Days, by Take That, is 80/1 to be at the top of the tree on Christmas Charts.

It would seem as though it a straight race between the two as the Peace Collective is 16/1 third favourite.

"Band Aid 30 has slipped behind Take That but with physical copies hitting the shelves this week it could cling on for a few more weeks,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
