Celebrating what people do to support each other, support our customers and support the business. Never taking anyone for granted.

Beverley Marley, Retail

It is Beverley’s compassion that makes her an inspirational colleague to be around. Over the past year she showed tremendous strength in her support for colleagues when a young Shop Manager, Leanne Watson, died of cancer. Leanne’s mother, Joan Allen, also a Shop Manager in District 126, is a close friend and Leanne’s death was a tragedy for them both. Beverley turned her focus to helping the family and, via charity events, raised more than £6,000 to be put in a trust for Leanne’s young baby. Beverley is an excellent Manager and always highly professional.

Gary Cornes, Retail

In his fi rst year as a District Operations Manager, Gary made quite an impression on his new colleagues in Northern Ireland. “Empowering, enthusiastic, energetic and exciting” are just a handful of the adjectives attributed to the man who moved to Northern Ireland from his native Scotland to take up the role. Described as a true leader and role model, Gary is not afraid to step outside his comfort zone – literally. Despite having a fear of heights, he took on and completed a charity sky dive for Project Africa. He is truly an inspirational individual.

Michael Palagkas, Online, Gibraltar

A HOME Awards finalist for the second year in a row, Michail Palagkas singlehandedly manages Sportsbook sites in eight languages and always goes the extra mile to fi nd creative solutions when traditional support is limited. He is well-respected in his own department as someone who knows his stuff and is also described as the ‘go to’ man across the Online business in Tel Aviv and Bulgaria due to his proactivity and willingness to meet and exceed expectations.

Gemma Edward, Online, Gibraltar

Gemma lives and breathes the HOME values and has arranged lots of fundraising events over the past year to benefi t Gibraltar’s three chosen charities. She has organised pub quizzes, as well as sponsored walks and raffl es, raising more than £3,000 for Caritas, Animals In Need and Wobbles. Gemma is also a member of the Gibraltar Colleague Forum and a representative of the International Colleague Forum. Her colleagues describe her as an inspirational person with a selfl ess approach to helping others.

AnneMarie Skirving, Retail

Shop Manager Annemarie is always looking to make a difference to the lives of others. She has taken part in charity walks and bike rides to support local charities, and in her role as a Colleague Forum rep encouraged others to donate small gifts to the Toryglen Toybank Appeal. She has collected toys for three years running by asking fellow reps on the Colleague Forum to put the word around. The response from colleagues and shop teams was fantastic and more than 90 local children received a gift from Santa.

Natalie Seeff, Online, Tel Aviva

In-house lawyer Natalie is passionate about community work. This year she organised a sponsored bike tour to raise funds for the Israel Sport Center for the Disabled. She took part in the ride and encouraged Tel Aviv colleagues to get involved too. She is also keen to help people who are less fortunate and, during the troubles in South Israel, collected and distributed toys to children in the area. She is now planning a pop-up clothing shop for the homeless called Street Store Tel Aviv.

Linda Clarke, Retail

Linda is a true champion within her community in Ilfracombe, North Devon. She has a very giving nature and is always the fi rst person to help elderly or poorly customers when she can – despite having some stressful family situations of her own. She raises money for lots of charities, supports events like cancer charity’s Macmillan coffee mornings and last year raised £2,000 for a local children’s hospice.
