Career spotlight on Nerea - celebrating our WOW

Nerea Triguero works in the Marketing department in our Madrid office, and knows all about team work and collaboration: "Keep eyes, ears and mind open, because you are surrounded by talented colleagues that will help you to grow."

We like to celebrate all our colleagues and especially our #WOW (Women of William Hill) so we run career spotlight interviews so we can share their stories with you.

What got you here?

I joined William Hill in September 2014 as a Marketing Executive. Three years and a half later, I can say this is a never-ending curve of learning. When I started working here, I was junior, so mine was an operational role.

However, William Hill has given me the opportunity of being involved in lots of different projects from which I have learnt a lot and now I have a more strategic vision of the Marketing we do. So now I am leading new and exciting projects for our Brand like the sponsorship of one of the key sports TV shows in Spain.

Tell us about your role, challenges and what it involves?

The Marketing Department in William Hill Spain is a very wide field to work in, because we are part of a very important business, but at the same time, we’re a smaller market than the UK.

My day-to-day work consists of communicating the William Hill Brand in the Spanish market in the best possible way. This involves all the big media campaigns (TV, radio, press), our digital presence to increase brand awareness, sponsorships, media deals and contents for social media and PR.

And last, but not least, I also look after the Marketing budget and KPI tracking and reporting.

What is the one piece of advice you would give to anyone looking to progress with William Hill?

Keep eyes, ears and mind open, because you are surrounded by talented colleagues that will help you to grow.

If you have the right attitude and are focused on achieving your objectives and bringing value to your team and the company, you are in the right place to grow. Give a damn.
