Meet Joe, he’s our Media Relations Manager in the Press Office. We went behind the bet and found out a little bit more about Joe and his life at William Hill.
Where are you based?
How long have you worked with us?
8 years (16 months in a William Hill shop in Chester)
Do you have a typical working day?
A typical working day consists of trying to generate as much coverage for free as possible for the company. Sometimes the hours can be irregular but that is a part of what makes the job so untypical.
What are you most proud of in your career?
Being part of the “In House PR Team of the Year” in both 2014 and 2015 at the PRCA awards.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Just before getting the job here, I had been accepted onto the NCTJ programme (National Council for the Training of Journalists) and my goal was to become a sports hack.
And finally, an interesting fact that not many people know about you
I have kept a clean sheet at Wembley Stadium.
