Meet Christine, she’s a Senior Operations Manager in our Customer Service and Risk & Fraud Operations function. We went behind the bet and found out a little bit more about Christine and her life at William Hill.
Where are you based?
How long have you worked with us?
Over a year now, started last May 2,2016
Do you have a typical working day?
I start the day by checking my calendar to see how my day looks like. Then I would list down my tasks list for the day as I read and respond to emails and include those pending from the previous day/s. Then I attend scheduled meetings and catch up sessions with my team, have small talk with the agents, support group and peers, asking them how they’re doing, checking progress on their commitments, get suggestions and follow up some outstanding items. As the day closes, I get to tick off my completed deliverables after working on it.
What are you most proud of in your career?
Although I have garnered many accolades throughout my career such having successful new program launches, making process improvements leading to performance gains in different technical support, customer service or sales accounts. Increasing revenue and program profitability with the improved performance and team retention through engagement activities, nothing makes me more proud than being able to mould, guide and mentor successful leaders and professionals that were once under my leadership. To be an instrument in their growth and success is a truly humbling and fulfilling experience.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
My competitive nature and my constant desire to take on challenges got me to where I am right now. It is the very same reason I had a promising career in sales, before trying the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry. My knack for creativity, coupled with my outgoing personality makes me want to give the advertising / marketing industry a shot. In addition, I'm looking at putting up a clothing boutique in the near future due to my love of fashion and entrepreneurial curiosity.
And finally, an interesting fact that not many people know about you
Despite my current physical/fitness state, not many people would know that I once was a collegiate athlete with multiple championship experiences that brought pride and honour to my school. I also dabble with the arts, having drawn murals, sketches and painted canvasses.
