KitAid takes shape
Colleagues in Hyndburn welcomed local MP Graham Jones to our Accrington shop this week, as he showed his support for a football kit collection the team had arranged.
Across the area, colleagues collected a massive 175 pieces of kit to give to charity KitAid, which distributes recycled kit to underprivileged adults and children in Africa. Among the donated kits were replica shirts from Burnley FC, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers.
The team were also able to present a large cheque to Graham to recognise a charity bet Graham placed with us which saw £50 donated to local club Bullough Park FC.
Graham Jones MP said, ‘It’s great to see our local William Hill shop collecting old football strips for youngsters in Africa. Youngsters who follow English football but only dream about wearing an English top their parents can’t afford. Well done Terri and all the William Hill team.’
