World Hurdle: Could Zig Sprinkle Some Stardust?
Ptit Zig is in line for a crack at the World Hurdle, after trainer Paul Nicholls suggested the gelding would revert to the smaller obstacles after another disappointing effort over fences at the weekend.
William Hill price Ptit Zig at 25-1 to win the World Hurdle in March. The Cleeve Hurdle has been nominated as his next race.
“If Ptit Zig won the Cleeve Hurdle, the World Hurdle would surely be the number one target for him at the Cheltenham Festival,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
Should Ptit Zig head chasing again, he is a 16-1 chance to win this year’s Ryanair Chase. He is 14-1 to ‘win any race at the 2016 Cheltenham Festival’.
