Manager Market Latest: Bilic, McClaren & Advocaat Odds-On For Permanent Jobs
With three Premier League clubs already in the market for a new ‘permanent’ boss, William Hill make Slaven Bilic, Steve McClaren and Dick Advocaat the three odds on favourites for the roles of West Ham, Newcastle and Sunderland managers.
Bilic is 1/2 to be named as Sam Allardyce’s replacement at West Ham ahead of Roberto Di Matteo at 4/1 and David Moyes at 5/1.
Steve McClaren is 1/4 , leading Jocelyn Gourvennec at 10/1 and David Moyes at 12/1 for the Newcastle job, while Dick Advocaat is 1/3 to hold onto his caretaker role at Sunderland for at least another season.
Two clubs, for whom the future of their managers is under question, are Liverpool and Manchester City. William Hill make Rodgers 6/4 to have left Liverpool by the start of next season and Pellegrini the same price to have left City.
“The managerial merry-go-round swung into overdrive as soon as the season has finished and while some clubs are already scouring the globe for new managers, others are still deciding whether they want rid of their current ones,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
